The name - CYBERPOMP - is inspired by the Greek mythological creatures that are psychopomps, which guide souls to the afterlife. In the modern age, we hope to be 'cyber'-pomps - guiding you on your way to your digital afterlife.

The ethos behind CYBERPOMP is all about utilising emerging and future technologies and assessing them through the use of speculative design. As a technology-reliant society, we depend on technology for the bulk of our day-to-day living, including communication. The future holds exciting uses of emerging technology. CYBERPOMP is a way of questioning these technologies and opening them
up as areas of discussion and reflection
in individuals.
